The International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) was developed by UNESCO to facilitate the comparison of education statistics and indicators between countries based on uniform and internationally accepted definitions.
Who is it for?
The detailed fields shown in the ISCED Search tool are primarily designed for use at the higher education level and for vocational education and training programs and qualifications at the secondary and non-secondary levels.
Why is it necessary?
ISCED provides the ability to neatly bring together, compile and present education statistics.
